The Bookish Wrestler's The Son of Neptune Review

If you haven’t read the book yet, The Bookish Wrestler wishes you to stop reading for this article may contain spoilers. But The Bookish Wrestler tried his best to avoid spoilers as much as possible in case the reader cannot resist scrolling down the page.

The first installment of the series left us hanging for dear life. I mean, Mr. Riordan left us hanging in the first book that we will die waiting for the next book to come. But Mr. Riordan didn’t disappoint us. He has proven that it is worth the wait by the release of the second installment, The Son of Neptune.

If you can recall in The Lost Hero, there are three protagonists narrating in the book: Jason, Piper and Leo. But this time, it is a little bit different. There are still three narrators but now it is the two demigods from the Roman camp and Percy Jackson who, by the way, lost his memory. They will journey to Alaska to fight the forces of Gaea.

Let me compare this book to Google. You know why? Because almost all the things you want is here. Action þ DramaþAdventureþ. What more can you ask for? As you can notice, I mentioned earlier that  “..almost all the things you want is here.” I said “almost” because there is one thing that you will not find in the book. Dullness.  You will not find the book boring. And trust me, you will enjoy every bit of it.

There are many questions to answer. Will Percy get his memory back? Who is Frank and Hazel? And who are their godly parents? And who are the seven half-bloods that "shall answer the call"?

But before I can spoil anything, I’ll end this review by encouraging you to buy and read the book because if you don’t, you will miss three-quarters of your life. Just kidding. You’ll just regret it.

This is The Bookish Wrestler signing off.
